OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2007. JSC Gazprom Neft announced closing of a transaction on purchase of 50% stock of JSC Tomskneft VNK from JSC OC Rosneft. The subsidiary of Gazprom Neft – Gazpromneftfinance LLC acted as the acquirer. The purchase was performed under the conditions that the co-owners of JSC Tomskneft will jointly make managerial decisions on key issues of the enterprise development and rotations of the key personnel.

After the transaction closing Gazprom Neft will record the operating results of Tomskneft in its US GAAP statements based on the principle of equity participation.
