OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2007. Pharmacy Chain 36.6 [MICEX: RU14APTK1007; RTS: APTK] announced acquisition of a 100% stake in LeO pharmacy chain operating in the Kemerovo region. LeO is the second-largest pharmacy chain in the Kemerovo region, holding 60% of the Prokopievsk market. LeO pharmacy chain’s turnover totaled $12.5 million in 2006. The chain has 27 pharmacies, including five optics stores, a veterinary pharmacy and a clinic. The average area of the chain’s pharmacies is 118 sq. m., with an average sales space of 59 sq. m.

An internal audit and LeO pharmacy chain’s integration into the 36.6 chain are currently underway. Following the audit, a decision will be made on the rebranding and reformatting of the purchased pharmacies.

The financial details of the transaction are not disclosed.
