OREANDA-NEWS. December 26, 2007. It has been a while since SOCAR started financing participation of the students of Azerbaijan-Turkey private lycees affiliated by “Chagh” Educational Company in the international academic competitions. The students of lycees are justifying hopes by winning prizes in the international competitions. The students of lycees affiliated by “Chagh” Educational Association, which celebrates the 15th anniversary of its activities in Azerbaijan, again made everybody proud of themselves.

The students of “Dada Gorgood” and Lankaran private Turkish lycees, as well as “Gafgaz” upper secondary school gained victories in Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad, took place in Bangkok on December 1-9, and in Nature Olympiad, took place in Taipei on December 2-11. There were 126 participants from 21 countries attending Thailand Olympiad and 266 participants from 46 countries attending Taiwan Olympiad.

The student of “Gafgaz” upper secondary school Orkhan Karimov won a gold medal and the student of Lankaran Turkish lycee Mirnahid Mammadzada won a silver medal. The student of “Dada Gorgood” private lycee Orkhan Baghirly and the students of Guba private Turkish lycee Atakhan Najafov and Vusal Orucov were awarded the bronze medals. Therefore, the number of the medals won by the students of Azerbaijan-Turkey private lycees affiliated by “Chagh” Educational Company in international academic competitions reached to 234.
