EC to Give EUR 82 mln for Ukrainian Power Industry
OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2007. The European Commission intends to provide Ukraine with EUR82 million in 2008 for implementation of power industry projects, head of the EC office in Ukraine Ian Boag said, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.
On February 21, 2005, Ukraine and the EU endorsed a three-year Action Plan providing for intensification of cooperation, but not carrying clear-cut Eurointegral perspectives for Ukraine, as this country's authorities required.
The EC says in 2008 - 2012 Ukraine should invest EUR2,5 billion in modernization of its gas transportation system in order to preserve the current volumes of natural gas transit to Europe.
