OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2007. "Uzbekinvest" National Export - Import Insurance Company participated in autumn meeting of International Union of Export Credit & Investments Insurers of Berne Union (Prague Club), which was held in Nairobi (Kenya). There were 63 representatives from 30 export-credit agencies (ECA) of Prague Club’s members, including Secretariat of Berne Union, reported the press-centre of Uzbekinvest.

All ECA members of Prague Club made short reports about development of their companies. "Uzbekinvest" made report on export insurance for last 9 months 2007 year. Kimberly Will, General Secretary of Berne Union, made report on development data of export insurance in country-members, which proved dynamic growth & stability of insurance market in developing countries.

"Uzbekinvest" National Export – Import Insurance Company & Export Credit Guarantee Company of Egypt (ECGE E) have signed Cooperation Agreement during the meeting. This agreement provides for cooperation in supporting & promotion of trade & investments between Uzbekistan & Egypt by means of mutual information exchange on countries, enterprises & banks, foreign trade activity insurance, technical assistance & personal training.

Also "Uzbekinvest" carried on negotiations with members of Prague Club - ECA of Serbia (AOFI) & Sudan (NAIFE). Results of negotiations are mutual cooperation agreement & encouragement of trade relations & in case of need, signing an agreement. Besides that supervisors of Berne Union’s Secretariat advised on issues about export insurance with business partners – supervisors of EKA members.

It is worth to mention that opinion of Prague Club & Berne Union to Uzbekistan is loyal, it is agreed that political situation is positive and stable and economic growth of the Republic of Uzbekistan is dynamic.
