Sberbank Signed USD 750 mln Syndicated Loan Agreement
OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2007. Sberbank closed a USD750m syndicated loan deal arranged by The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank AG, DZ BANK AG Deutsche Zentral-Genossenschaftsbank, ING Bank N.V., J.P. Morgan Plc, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Limited, reported the press-centre of Sberbank.
The deal involves 18 leading foreign banks with a wide geography of representation, including Commerzbank AG, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank, Nordea Bank Finland, The Bank of New York which came forward with the largest tickets.
Raised over a very short period of time, the loan is priced at a record-low LIBOR + 0,45%pa – despite all problems on the global financial markets. The term of the loan is 3 years with bullet repayment. The loan may be renewed for 2 more years on the same pricing terms.
The loan, which will be used for general corporate purposes, comes as Sberbank’s third syndicated deal in the past three years.
This successful syndication exercise is a new proof of Sberbank’s good standing with the global banking community.
