Russian Post Sets Plasma Displays at Post Offices
OREANDA-NEWS. December 24, 2007. Russian Post began setting up large format displays demonstrating information and news blocks, reported the press-centre of Russian Post.
This measure aims at improving comfortable conditions for customers in post offices. New plasma displays are set in 1st and 2nd class post offices situated in cities and large settlements. These ones record the highest customers’ flow.
Within the framework of the first stage of the project implementation post sets 47 large format displays in some post offices in Moscow. In January 2008 the enterprise plans to set 10 information displays in Moscow region and 20 ones in Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar and Krasnodar territory. As planned, post would set one thousand facilities by April 2008.
The displays are to show information and news content to tell of different goods and services offered in post offices. Video transfer of different news programs is to increase rate of information awareness of postal services and to make customers feel more comfortable in post offices, on New Year eve particularly. Moreover, Russian Post’s partners have another opportunity to inform of the service they grant at post.
