OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2007. On the eve of New Year and Christmas holidays Russian Post holds customer-oriented policy, reported the press-centre of Russian Post.

Owing to it they can use postal, financial and other services at convenient time. Russian Post worked out special working schedule of post offices for the period from 31st December till 8th January 2008.

On 31st of December post offices of 1st class and 2nd class in regional, district and republic cities work from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. without lunch hours, as for 1st class they work till 9 p.m. Post offices of 3rd class in middle and small cities, some ones in rural settlements work from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m. with lunch hours 1-2 a.m. 31st of December is declared as a holiday for post offices of 4th class in small cities and rural settlements.

January 1st and 7th are declared as a holiday for all post offices. Nevertheless, duty offices in Moscow situated by Myasnitskaya, 26 and one in Saint Petersburg situated by Pochtamskaya, 9 provide services from 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. without lunch hours.

On 2nd of January post offices of 1st class work from 8 a.m. till 9 p.m. or by 12 p.m. As for post offices of 2nd, 3rd and 4th class this day is declared as a holiday.

On January 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th post offices work on the week-day schedule.
