OREANDA-NEWS. On December 22, 2007 AB Parex bankas, which belongs to one of the biggest financial groups in the Baltics, the Parex Group, pushed Sampo bankas from the second position into the fourth, became the third bank among the best in attracting new clients and servicing old customers by electronic channels, reported the press-centre of Parex Group.

Such internet banking ratings have been revealed by the recent survey conducted by Metasite Business Solutions. This year, like a year before, the leader in internet banking remains Hansabankas; and SEB Vilniaus bankas advances from the third position into the second.

Bankas Snoras comes as the fifth, moving from the eight position held in 2006. Ukio bankas moves by two positions upwards, rated as the sixth. Siauliu bankas is rated as the seventh, pushing DnB Nord bankas into the eighth position. Nordea and Medicinos bankas are at the end of the list, taking up position 9 and 10, respectively.

The survey assessed the banks according to 500 criteria in four main categories: functioning of e-banking, its clarity, handiness and the quickness and quality of responding to the clients’ queries. For five years in succession, the survey assessed 37 banks of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
