New EU-Ukraine Agreement Will Improve Bipartite Relations
OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2007. The new enhanced agreement between Ukraine and EU will reflect improved bipartite relations, Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko said at a meeting with staff of diplomatic corps, accredited in Ukraine, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.
According to him, the new intensified agreement is Ukraine's priority. He stressed that the neighborhood policy in the context of cooperation with the EU is a good affair, yet, Ukraine doesn't consider itself to be a neighbor, as it's a part of Europe. He stressed that Ukraine will focus on the free trade zone wit the EU after Ukraine's accedence to the WTO.
As far as EuroIntegration is concerned, Ukraine will develop integration into the energy sector. In this view we will hold an energy summit in 2008 to develop the transit corridor Caspian Sea -South Caucasus - Ukraine - Central Europe, he said.
