Interfax, a Russian source of political and business news, and Kommersant, a commerce-oriented newspaper published in Russia, conducted the analysis of growth and development of the banking sector in CIS states.  According to the analysis, People's Bank ranks 17th and Bank of Georgia 62nd among the surveyed banking institutions, the bank's press service reported.

People's Bank has the largest network of branches and service centers in Georgia. The bank also has 150 ATMs and provides services to 1.5m people a month.  Moreover, the bank has the largest staff of 5000 employees among the private companies.  The bank has issued around 1m of plastic Visa plastic cards.  Therefore, according to the data, People’s Bank is one of the strongest banking institutions in Georgia.
