OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2007. BPC (Uralkali's export trader and a 50% joint venture with Belaruskali) has informed Uralkali of a new price increase in Brazil of USD 100, the press service of Uralkali's reports.

The increase will be implemented in two steps of USD 50 each. First, for all the deliveries from 1 February till 1 March 2008 the new price level will become USD 450-460 pmt on CFR basis for Granular MOP (depending on a customer size). Second, for all the deliveries after 1 March 2008 and until further notice the new price will be USD 500-510 for Granular MOP. The Company believes that price evolution is supported by continuous growth of demand, further tightening of supply and decreasing inventory levels worldwide.
