Pavlogradugol Hit Production Target Ahead of Schedule
OREANDA-NEWS. On December 18, 2007 OJSC Pavlogradugul met its target for 96 km 700 running meters of overburden and mine tunnel preparation. Notwithstanding that the target for the current year exceeded that of the previous year by 100 running meters, the development workers hit the target 11 days earlier than in 2006, reported the press-centre of SCM.
Meeting target for mining operations has become a tradition for Pavlogradugol: the development teams have reported completion of a work year before the calendar year for the seventh year in a row.
Today the workers of six Pavlogradugol mines have started a new work year. The following mines were the first to perform their 2007production target: Pavlogradskaya mine -
11 November, Geroyev Kosmosa mine - 20 November, Yubileynaya mine - 26 November. Geroyev Kosmosa mine (12 km 500 running meters), Zapadno-Donbasskaya mine (11 km) and Stepnaya mine (10 km 300 running meters) are the top three mines in terms of production target met.
One of the top priorities of Pavlogradugol development workers includes implementation of the roof-bolting support progamme. It is expected that the workers will cover 27 km 330 running meters with help of roof-bolting and frame roof-bolting technologies by the yearend. Stepnaya mine (5 km 671 running meters), Pavlogradskaya mine (3 km 834 running meters) and Samarskaya mine (2 km 684 running meters) had much success in this area in 11 months of 2007.
