OREANDA-NEWS. On December 19, 2007 Ukrsotsbank connected Biverbank Italian bank to SOFT money transfer system on December 1, 2007. Previously, another Italian bank, San Paolo was also connected to SOFT system, reported the press-centre of Ukrsotsbank.

"Many of our countrymen are working abroad, particularly in Italy and need convenient and cheap method of money transfer to their relatives in Ukraine", Svitlana Minakova explains the reason for the transaction. She reported that about 10% of the volume of transfers from abroad to Ukraine is made from Ukraine to abroad. Now the money of individuals sent from Italy on tariffs that are much favorable that those of Western Union, for instance, can be received in Ukraine at any operational point of Ukrsotsbank through SOFT system.

Today Ukrsotsbank is interested in cooperation with the Portuguese banks, and we are working seriously in this direction. The Bank is also actively forging cooperation with well-known international money transfer systems. "Currently, the cooperation with Money Gramm and Inter Express systems is in the stage of agreements ", Svitlana Minakova explained.
