It combined all design departments functioning at the factories of MEF "Energomera" and ETF "Energomera". Main trends of Institute's activity - development of means of energy metering and remote access to information resources, and also other electrotechnical devices and special technological equipment for sapphire monocrystals growing.

Talented managers, experienced development engineers and designers are working in the Institute. Fresh up-to-date solutions and high equipment status of working places enable creation of new goods produced according to the world standards. The Institute conducts intensive researches aimed at the development of new products and improvement of the produced ones. The level of technical equipping and personnel qualification stipulate for short terms of introduction of competitive products to the market. Energy metering devices of a new class - the fifth generation of CE. line meters . has been developed by the Institute's engineers. The number of development engineers and designers has reached 190 people today, two of them have academic degrees, five workers are doing postgraduate studies.
