ARMADA Becomes Authorized IT Supplier for Central Bank of Russia
OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2007. OAO ARMADA (MICEX, RTS: ARMD) has been admitted to participate in closed-door tenders organized by the Central Bank of Russia, the company's press service reported. The accreditation is valid for three years.
In particular, three ARMADA companies, consisting of RBC SOFT, Helios IT-Solutions, and Soyuzinform received the accreditation from the Bank of Russia, which grants them the right to be contracted for the development and maintenance of IT infrastructure, provision of equipment, software and consulting services, creation of networks and uninterrupted power supply systems. Accreditation means ARMADA possesses the necessary expertise, resources and track record in order to provide services to the Central Bank.
The ARMADA Group of companies has been cooperating with the Bank of Russia since 2002. Helios equipment, including computers, monitors and servers, is deployed at more than 30 territorial and national banks of the Central Bank, while RBC SOFT has recently completed the development of an automated project management system for the Bank.
ARMADA plans to continue its collaboration with the Central Bank, and is ready to offer a number of new services, including cost reduction solutions. According to ARMADA's General Director Alexei Kuzovkin, "Just a 1-2% cut in the Bank of Russia's spending could result in savings of tens and even hundreds of millions of dollars. For example, ARMADA's project management system will enable to tighten control over the events planned by the Central Bank, while the annual volume of such events at the IT department alone exceeds 1000. The solution facilitates strict compliance with the schedule and project budget, which will lead the path to better performance." Cooperation with government agencies accounts for a considerable portion of ARMADA's business. In 2007, state orders are expected to generate around 30% of the company's revenue.
