OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2007. Meeting dedicated to the issues of technical policy of grid companies of the Center of Russia took place in Orel city, IDGC of the Center's press service reported. On December 18, a meeting of chief engineers and technical experts of the distribution grid companies of the zone of JSC IDGC of the Center.s configuration took place. Sergey Schumacher, Deputy General Director - Technical Director of JSC IDGC of the Center, held the meeting.

The main objective of the meeting was to define basic directions of technical policy in connection with formation of the unified operational company (UOC). "A unified company is a unified team, unified standards and rules," Sergey Schumacher emphasized, "And today we discuss new aspects of the whole complex of the organizational and technical issues based on the uniform principles and strategy."

This meeting became a good opportunity for participants of the meeting for experience exchange. Especially as there is an opportunity to sum up preliminary results of the expiring year, to analyze performance of the investment and repair programs, passing the autumn-winter maximum of loading.

According to Sergey Schumacher, the expiring year 2007 was successful for the companies of the zone of IDGC of the Center's configuration. The result of the harmonious work became duly reception of passports of preparedness. JSC IDGC of the Center was the first among all inter-regional distribution grid companies of Russia to receive the Passport of preparedness; moreover, its power facilities did not receive remarks and did not require coordinated decisions. It means that the whole complex of measures connected with preparation for the winter was performed qualitatively.

In the current year the company has repaired over 5 015.1 km of overhead lines of 35-110 kV and 13 735.9 km of networks having voltage of 0.4-10 kV; 285 pieces of substations of 35-110 kV; 4897 pieces of transformer substations of 6-10/0.4 kV; power transformers for the total capacity of 185.8 MVA. The total expenses for major overhaul equaled from above 962.2 million rubles. The host of the meeting finishes the year with good performance indicators. The investment program of JSC Orelenergo in 2007 equaled 206 million rubles that 2.5 times exceeds the last year's sum. The volume of repair campaign has essentially increased: at the plan of 38 million, the sum of 45 million rubles was actually invested. Aleksandr Letyagin, Chief Engineer of the Company, said, "We pay special attention to the tomorrow.s network facilities. One of these days Orelenergo Company, one of the first in IDGC will approve the plan of prospect development of networks for the next 15 years. This document was developed in view of possible location of the key manufacturing industries in the Orel area, as well as projected residential areas."

A trip to Yugo-Vostochnaya substation in Orel took place within the limits of the meeting. The integrated repair with application of modern technologies and new approaches to works was held here. According to Aleksandr Letyagin, this year the company has managed to break the situation of the last years when local small repairs did not allow to bring power facilities to a good condition. Participants of the meeting sharing while their impressions of the meeting noted that Orel introduced a new dialogue system which will allow to make a significant step forward in acute problems solution, will enable to realize technical policy of IDGC of the Center and UES FGC more effectively.
