OREANDA-NEWS. On December 12-15, 2007 the visit to Beijing of Mr. Anatoly Golomolzin, Deputy Head of the FAS Russia took place, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The aim of the visit was participation in the International Symposium on Enforcement of the Antimonopoly Law of the Peoples Republic of China. This event was organized by State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the Peoples Republic of China (SAIC) for further studying of the issues related to the Law, accumulating foreign experience of antimonopoly legislation and enforcement and preparing for effective enforcement of the Law.

Experts from the Chinese state authorities and academic circles, foreign competition authorities and international organizations, as well as representatives from more than 100 regional offices of SAIC participated in this event.

During the Symposium the following issues were discussed: antimonopoly law and the regulation on market competition practices; control of monopolistic agreements; prohibition of abuse dominant position in the market; control over operators concentration; prohibition of the antimonopoly law on the abuse to exclude and restrict competition by administrative authorities; investigation procedures and techniques of monopoly-related cases.

Mr. Anatoly Golomolzin presented a report "Russian regulation and enforcement practice in respect of prevention of restrictive practices of administrative authorities" as well as took part as a moderator in the session "Control of Monopolistic Agreements".
