OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2007. Power Machines and EMK-Engineering Company (general contractor) signed a Contract for supplies of power equipment for construction of two combined cycle power units (CCPP) of 180 MW capacity for Pervomajskaya TPP-14 (JSC TGK-1). Total price of the Contract amounts to over 5 billion Rubles.

Under the terms of the Contract for two combined cycle power units Power Machines shall supply two steam turbines of Kaluga Turbine Works production of 64 MW capacity each, two turbine generators of own production of 60 MW each, four complete gas turbine units of 65 MW capacity each of Ansaldo production (Italy) and auxiliary equipment. Scope of supplies of Power Machines includes supervision and technical supervision of commissioning.

First CCPP is planned to be commissioned in 2009, the second one in 2010.

The power plant is to be reconstructed within the framework of TGK-1 investment program for the years 2006-2015. It is one of the stages of an Agreement signed between Saint-Petersburg local authorities and RAO “UES of Russia” which is planned to fasten the development of Saint-Petersburg power complex.
New power units are to be constructed because of wear and tear of the TPP. The new combined cycle power units will increase the power plant installed capacity by half and will promote reliability of power and thermal supply of Kirovsky, Admiraltejsky and Krasnoselsky districts of Saint-Petersburg.
