On December 17, 2007 Ukio bankas credit card MasterCard Standard gained victory in the payment cards rating that was for the first time drawn up by the weekly Veidas, which, according to the selected criteria, evaluated debit and credit cards offered by Lithuania’s commercial banks. This evaluation covered the total of 28 cards, reported the press-centre of Ukio bankas.

Credit cards were evaluated according to twelve criteria: card issue and annual service fee, maximum credit limit, interest on credit, interest-free period of credit use, replacement fee, fee of cash withdrawal from ATMs, medical expense and accident insurance coverage amounts etc.

Ranked first in the category of credit cards, Ukio bankas MasterCard Standard credit cards grants a long interest-free period of credit use and its service fee and interest on credit are not high.

Veidas also appreciated the Bank’s quality service. “The attention of the Bank’s consultant came as a pleasant surprise – she called once again and specified her answer”, – the weekly writes.

Ukio bankas has distributed 35 thousand of Maestro debit cards and 30 thousand of MasterCard credit cards. In 2008 the Bank will start issuing VISA payment cards.
