OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2007. Third-class thorough repairs of the biggest blast-furnace-3 at “Tulachermet” public corporation started; work is to last eight days. During this time enterprise specialists have to replace loading machine, repair equipment of the stock-conveying system, casthouse, air-heaters and dust arrester. Also metal construction of the blast-furnace will be renewed and turbine building will be fixed, mechanisms of bell-operating winch and skip winch will be replaced there. Realized measures will allow optimization of the work of blast-furnace-3, reducing the downtime and costs on cast iron production.
