OREANDA-NEWS. On December 14, 2007, diesel electric submarine B-90 "Saratov" was taken out from FSUE "PO "Sevmash" slip-way shop, Sevmash's press service reported.

The experimental submarine is a universal test bench, meant for adjusting and carrying out testing being developed, and updating armament samples. The bench is designed for long-term operation and possibility of several updates. Submarine's technical project is developed by FSUE CDB MT "Rubin" in 1989. Building started the same year as on "Krasnoye Soromovo" enterprise (Nizhny Novgord), continued on FSUE "PO "Sevmash". Factory trials are planned to be performed in 2008. B-90 crew, formed by the Northern Fleet commander order, has passed training in a Naval Forces center.

The enterprise administration, representatives of project organizations and the Naval Fleet took part in taking submarine out of workshop. Success of Sevmash's collective and its leading role in building submarines was mentioned during the meeting.
