External Assets of Bank of Lithuania Decreased by LTL 1.4 bln
OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2007. In November 2007, external assets of the Bank of Lithuania decreased by LTL 1,4 billion to form LTL 18,0 billion at the end of the month, while external liabilities decreased by LTL 1,2 million to LTL 70,6 million after the Bank of Lithuania paid back the sums borrowed under repurchase transactions, reported the press-centre of Bank of Lithuania.
In November, currency in circulation decreased by LTL 182,7 million to LTL 8,8 billion at the end of the month. Meanwhile, resident deposits with the Bank of Lithuania grew by LTL 50,1 million over the month, as a result of transactions, to form LTL 8,2 billion at the end of the month.
Deposits of other MFIs went up by LTL 120,1 million as a result of transactions to make up LTL 2,9 billion at the end of the month, while central government deposits decreased as a result of transactions by LTL 65,4 million to LTL 5,3 billion at the end of November.
