OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2007. BPC (Uralkali's export trader and a 50% joint venture with Belaruskali) has informed Uralkali of a price increase in Asian spot markets for all new sales of potash with immediate effect, to a minimum price USD 500.00 for Standard MOP from USD 400.00, Uralkali's press service informs.

The Company believes that demand for potash has continued to be strong amid tight supply and relatively low inventory levels among potash customers.
