OREANDA-NEWS. On December 12, 2007 Exploration Production KazMunayGas JSC (Astana), shares of which are traded in Kazakhstan stock exchange's (KASE) category "A" official list had spread the press-release in which the following is informed, reported the press-centre of KASE:

Astana, December 12, 2007, Exploration Production KazMunayGas JSC (EP KMG, the Company) announced about finishing of deal for purchasing of 50%-ge stake in company CITIC Canada Energy Limited ("CCEL") from CITIC Group.

Earlier on October 3, 2007 Board of directors of EP KMG confirmed the series of deals for purchasing of 50%-ge stake in CCEL. Signing of agreement and other documents in the frames of given deal was held on November 8, 2007. Other ceremonial functions on deal, including receiving of all needed permissions of regulating state bodies of RK, also were finished.

On December 12, 2007 shareholders of Karazhanbasmunay JSC had appointed nine members of Board of directors. At the same day Askar Baljanov (general director of the Company) was appointed as Chairman of Directors' board of Karazhanbasmunay JSC.
