OREANDA-NEWS. On December 10, 2007 Ust-Ilimsk branch of Ilim Group won the gold medal and certificate of the competition for the best innovation in occupational safety, in the category “management systems and occupational risks management”, reported the press-centre of Ilim Group.

The contest was held in Moscow as part of the international exhibition “Occupational safety 2007”. The mill received the award for the development and deployment of the “Occupational safety management system and occupational risks management.”

The medal and the certificate were handed to Andrey Andreyev, head of occupational safety and professional security department, Ilim Group, by Alexandr Safonov, Director of Department for labour relations and state civil service, Minzdravsotsrazvitiya (Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development).

Awards are the result of the efficient work performed by the department occupational safety, professional and environmental security of Ilim Group Ust-Ilimsk branch. The policy of the mill’s management aims to establish safe and healthy labour conditions. Professional security and occupational health management system is in full compliance with the requirements of OHSAS 18001:1999 international standard, and is certified.
