OREANDA-NEWS. On December 11, 2007 the regular meeting of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank was held, reported the press-centre of Eesti Pank.

The Supervisory Board was introduced with the 2008 draft budget of Eesti Pank amounting to 361,5 million kroons. A large share of the 2008 budget is made up by cash related costs. Cash related costs excluded, the next year's budget of Eesti Pank will increase 6% compared to the budget of 2007; cash related costs included, the increase will be 28%. In 2007, the central bank's budget amounted to 283,3 million kroons.

The Supervisory Board took note of the financial forecast of Eesti Pank for 2008, where net income from financial transactions with foreign exchange reserve is projected to be 1,475 billion kroons. The expected profit of Eesti Pank for 2008 is 565,7 million kroons.

The first reading of the Supervisory Board's work schedule for 2008 took place. In addition, the Supervisory Board approved the central bank's internal audit work schedule for the next year.

The next meeting of the Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank will be held on 29 January 2008.
