Rogachev Dairy Boosts Exports by 13%
OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2007. In January-October 2007, exports of the Rogachev dairy accounted to $40,4 million, or 13% up from the same period 2006, the director general of the dairy, Mikhail Komar, reported the press-centre of Gomel Invest.
Rogachev dairy is a modern export-oriented company. Around 70% of the output is exported. About 90% of the exports are destined for Russia. In January-October 2007, 33,2 million preserved milk products were sold via representative offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
Rogachev dairy products are on sale in 5,000 stores in Moscow under the brand “Рогачевъ”. In 2007, the independent magazine “Gastronomy and Groceries” and also the edition “Producers of Tinned Foodstuffs of Russia” ranked Rogachev dairy first in the rate of advancement onto the retail food market of Russia.
Founded in 1938, Rogachev dairy includes three main production units: preserving shop, whole milk products shop with a baby food section, and a butter and dried milk products shop. In January-October 2007, the diary produced 72 million milk cans, 3,500 tonnes of dried whole milk (in January-September 2007) and 1,218 tonnes of high-fat cheese.
