OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2007. At Closed Company "Cascade of Shamkir HPS" which plays the important role in maintenance of electric power of the western region of republic, on November of current year has been produced more than 128 million kW of electric power. From the specified volume the share of Shamkir HPS is 99 million kW, the share of Yenikend HPS is more than 29 million KVt/h of electric power. Informing on it to press-service of joint-stock company "Azerenerji" the director of Cascade Misir Yusifov has noted, that within 11 months of 2007 here has been produced nearby 1,2 billion kW of electric power. As he said, in comparison with the similar period of last year, within 11 months at the Cascade has been produced more than 150 million kW of electric power.

The director has also noted, that repair is made for increase of the level of production and reliability of stable operating conditions at hydro-unit № 2 of Shamkir HPS and now is successfully maintained. He has noted, that the maintenance of service by equipment at both stations is carried out according to the made schedule. And at other hydro-units similar works which will finish in the first quarter of new year are being conducted. So, as a result of carried out repair actions Shamkir HPS will work by capacity of 380 MVt. 12 units of transformers of different capacity are being in parallel repaired with 12 units of 330-110 KVT oil switches and they work now in normal operating conditions. The director of Cascade has also noted, that similar works are conducted at Yenikend HPS. At 4 hydro-units by capacity of 37,5 MVt each of them, is carried out operating repair and now the station is maintained in stable mode. Let us note, that 25th anniversary of Shamkir HPS will be held one of these days.
