OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2007. Ecology Department of SOCAR is one of the leading institutions that builds its activities on international level. Accordingly, those activities had positive results: the department was awarded ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001 (Ecology Management System) certificates. On December 6-7, 2007 Turkish Institute of Standards carried out an audit in Ecology Department to examine the accordance of activities with the requirements of Labor Safety and Security Management System.

According to the results of the audit, the Department was awarded the certificate of OHSAS-18001. It should be noted that the heads of the Department will continue the same line of work. It already started implementation of related activities to receive the certificate of ISO-17025 Quality International Standard on Controlling Management System within Laboratory.
