OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2007. the Electricity Consumers Board of Ukraine started its work.

This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Board Yuriy Kolmykov.

According to him, the Electricity Consumers Board is a collegial body of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (USPP) which has been established for the development and implementation of the policy and strategy in protection of electricity consumers who buy electricity in the existing and fully-fledged competitive markets. Yuriy Kolmykov also stressed that the Board will monitor the process of electricity tariff and price setting as well as providing efficient consultative assistance.

The board is chaired by the President of the USPP, the Acting Minister of the Economy, Anatoliy Kinakh.
