Kazakhstan Prime Minister Meets Representatives of Foreign Companies
OREANDA-NEWS. On December 07, 2007 at the Akorda Presidential Residence, following the sitting of the Council of Foreign Investors, Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov met representatives of foreign large companies and institutes of development, reported the Official website http://en.government.kz.
In the morning Karim Massimov met Yves-Louis Darricarrere, President of Total Exploration and Productio. The sides discussed acute issues of cooperation in O&G sector.
In the afternoon Head of the Government met Asian Development Bank (ADB) Vice President Liqun Jin. The sides discussed bilateral cooperation within the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program, as well as implementation of investment projects in the public sector for 2008–2009.
Investments into Kazakhstan’s economy, as well as development of financial service sector were on the agenda at the meeting with Lord Robin Renwick, Vice Chairman of JP Morgan Chase. The sides also dwelt on attraction of foreign capital to develop Kazakhstan-based companies.
Karim Massimov also met Fawzi Kyriakos-Saad, CEO of emerging markets for the EMEA region at Credit Suisse, to discuss provision of banking services investments and financial management service to corporate and private investors.
