OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2007. Technical Inspection Department (TID) of JSC IDGC of the Center has summed up its work for 2007, the company's press service reported. The meeting for eleven inspectors of the grid company of the Center took place in the central office under the chairmanship of Olga Zuikova, Chief of the Department, and Sergey Shumakher, Deputy General Director - Technical Director of JSC IDGC of the Center.

The meeting was started in the All-Russia Exhibition Center of Moscow at the International Specialized Exhibition called "Electric Grids of Russia - 2007". Visitors of the exposition got acquainted with novelties of the electrotechnical equipment, switching centres, air and cable electricity transmission lines, devices of relay protection and automatic protective devices.

The meeting itself passed in JSC IDGC of the Center. Reports and speeches of participants were heard there; results of inspectors' work for 2007 were announced, as well as tasks and plans for 2008.

Experts of the management company and inspectors exchanged opinions on the pressing issues: regarding lack of the capital equipment of the companies, drawbacks of repair operational service, staffling level and qualification of the personnel. Proposals were made concerning improvement of reliability, technological process, personnel selection. Data on additions in key performance indicators of activity of inspectors were announced to the meeting participants.

Sergey Shpilevoy, Chief of the Quality Control Board of TID, reported on lacks and remarks in the work of the inspection personnel, and told about the system of the internal technical control being in the process of introduction.

Sergey Vasiliev, Chief of the industrial safety audit division of TID, emphasized the quality of investigation of accidents with extraneous persons, industrial inspection of operation of dangerous industrial facilities.
 
Besides, Sergey Borisovich told the participants of the meeting about the introduced labour safety control system, 'Our company continues work on improvement of control system over labour safety, preservation of life and health of the personnel. Now, according to requirements of RAO UES of Russia, the Program on prevention of traumatism of JSC IDGC of the Center has been developed and approved containing the basic system requirements in the field of labour safety and safety of technological processes. On its basis, pilot programs of JSC Tverenergo and Bryanskenergo are developed. All these programs have been successfully approved in Central Administration of JSC IGDC and JSC UES FGC. In the near future other grid distribution companies included in the zone of responsibility of JSC IDGC of the Center should be developed and approved at the meetings of the Reliability Committees and meetings of the Boards of Directors'.     

"I consider the today's meeting productive," Olga Zuikova has noted. 'We gave the inspectors the data on additions in key performance indicators (KPI) and on plans for 2008. In particular, employees of our department will be included in the structure of the commissions for complex major overhauls. Audit of systems of internal technical control of DGC, management by labour safety, ecological policy of DGC, all this will also become a field of activity of TID inspectors. Moreover, we should plan checks of the electric energy losses accounting system in 2008."

Organizers and participants of the meeting a sure that such meetings should be held for exchange of experience, revealing of system problems and improvement of inspection activity quality.
