OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2007. According to the results of the National business prize “Company of the year 2007”, ESTAR management company was awarded a prize in the "Metallurgy" nomination for the successful performance in 2007.

The nominees were defined in two stages: first, based on the results of the jury board poll, a list of the best companies of the past year in each nomination was drawn and then, in the second stage, the expert council members voted, and voting results identified three candidates in each nomination.

If a company wins the contest, it is recognized as an efficient company that increases the investment attractiveness of Russian companies and consolidates the Russian economy in general, integrating the country into the global economic system.

ESTAR management company is a dynamically developing company that manages the metallurgical enterprises in 3 divisions: special steels, tubes and pipes division and long products. Each ESTAR enterprise implements programs of production reconstruction and upgrade, perform quality management and improve the performance results. The ESTAR Group, besides upgrading the existing assets of the Metallurgical holding, also constructs plants. In July of 2007 the first stage of Rostov Electrometallurgical Plant (Shakhty, Rostov region) was launched. In May of 2007 the foundation stone was laid in the New Zlatoust Electrometallurgical Plant. The plant will specialize in special purpose steels production.
