Ukrsotsbank Chairman, Borys Tymonkin became the winner in The Banker of the Year 2007 category of MasterCard award called The Bank of the Year, the bank's press service reports. The Bank of the Year award is aimed to determine the best Ukrainian banks and banking services of the year 2007. The main peculiarity of the award is that the experts of the specialized nominations were the leaders of the market, top managers of the leading companies of the country financial sector. It means that the winner of The Banker of the Year 2007 category was elected by chairmen of the Ukrainian banks.

These comments of the well-known analyst are clearly confirmed by the fact that Ukrsotsbank has also taken the third place in The Bank of the Year category of MasterCard the Bank of the year award.MasterCard the Bank of the Year award in Ukraine was held for the first time. But it has already become traditional for our East European neighbors, the Czech Republic and Hungary. During the six years of its existence it has acquired a high reputation in financial circles in the Czech Republic and has received wide media attention in this country. The MasterCard Az ev bankja award was first held in Hungary in November 2006. After a successful start this year it was held in this country for the second time.
