OREANDA-NEWS. December 7, 2007. During this period the Freeport handled 5,220.6 MLN tons of general cargoes, which is by 13,2% more than during last year’s respective period, when 4,610.6 MLN tons of general cargoes were handled.

This year 13,852.9 MLN tons of bulk cargoes were handled, which is decrease by 4,1% if compared to first eleven months of 2006, when 14,442.5 MLN tons were handled.

4,536.8 MLN tons of liquid cargoes were handled, which is by 1,6% more than within the first eleven months of the last year, when 4,463.2 MLN tons were handled.

During the first eleven months of the current year 415 953 passengers were serviced in the Freeport of Riga, which is by 80% more than last year, when 231 102 passengers were serviced. Of those, 127 977 persons were cruise passengers.
