European Commission Allocates EUR 22 Million for Energy Saving
OREANDA-NEWS. On December 06, 2007 the European Commission has allocated 22 million EUR to Ukraine within the framework of the project "Promotion of Administration Reforms" to the reformation of the energy sector, in particular the development of energy saving technologies and the use of renewable energy, the press service of the European Commission Delegation to Ukraine said, reported the Official website http://www.kmu.gov.ua.
EU Commissioner for External Relations Benita Ferrero-Waldner noted that priorities of the EU Neighborhood Policy are reforming of the energy sphere of the neighbor-countries, construction of new transportation networks, settlement of frozen conflicts, implementation of economic and administrative reforms, combating poverty and improvement of access to educations and employment.
