OREANDA-NEWS. December 06, 2007. Oleg Lobanov will assume his appointment as Deputy General Director of OJSC MMC Norilsk Nickel from January 9, 2008. Also, Mr. Lobanov will enter into the Management Board of the Company. He will be responsible for implementation of MMC Norilsk Nickel’s financial policy, reported the press-centre of Norilsk Nickel.

General Director of MCM Norilsk Nickel Denis Morozov expressed his gratitude to Igor Komarov, who previously occupied the position, for making a significant contribution to the development of the Company.  "During the six years since Mr. Komarov came to work for Norilsk Nickel we have advanced strongly in restraining cost escalation and improving the  efficiency of financial management and control procedures", - Denis Morozov observed.

Biographic reference
Oleg Lobanov was born in 1965 in Moscow. In 1989 he graduated from the Physics Department of the Moscow State Lomonosov University. He holds a Candidate degree in Physics and Mathematics. Previously Mr. Lobanov worked for Russian banks and for OJSC Vympelkom.

Since September 2002 – Deputy General Director of MMC Norilsk Nickel for Economics, since September 2005 – Director of Department of Economics.

Oleg Lobanov is married and has two children.
