OREANDA-NEWS. December 6, 2007. The public-expert commission of the 8th All-Russian Competition “1,000 Best Companies and Organizations of Russia” has summed up the results of 2007.

The awarding ceremony took place in the Kremlin Palace (Moscow). For the second consecutive year the branch of Rosenergoatom Concer, Volgodonsk Nuclear Power Plant, has been proclaimed one of the best companies of Russia. Even more, for its high efficiency and outstanding contribution to the economic development of its region, Volgodonsk NPP has been proclaimed the winner in special nomination “Best Company of the Fuel and Energy Complex of Russia.”

The competition “1,000 Best Companies and Organizations of Russia” has been conducted every year since 2000 on the initiative of the “World Experience and Russian Economy” forum. The objective of the competition is to promote the advanced experience of effective production and management and to create favorable conditions for the implementation of the state policy for the development of the Russian economy and the enhancement of the competitiveness of Russian products.

The organizing committee of the competition comprises representatives of the State Duma, the Federation Council, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the State Standard Agency, governors of regions, heads of NGOs and rectors of leading national universities.
