OREANDA-NEWS. December 6, 2007. Rating agency group RosBusinessConsulting has published results of a recent survey of the best interest rates available on bank deposits. The survey covered rates offered by the 500 largest Russian banks, as measured by assets, on November 12, 2007. Bank Electronika’s short- and medium-term deposits in rubles, dollars, and euros entered RBC’s Top-25 list.

In keeping with the survey’s methodology, the best conditions for short-term deposits were determined by interest rates on one-month deposits. Where tied positions occurred, three-month interest rates were compared. Remaining ties were resolved by evaluating growth in net assets. Conditions for medium-term deposits were ranked by interest rates on twelve-month deposits. Tied positions were settled by considering six-month deposits. If ties remained, they were resolved by evaluating growth in net assets.

10th place – deposits of 30 million rubles or greater, 6,5%*
12th place – deposits of 10 million to 30 million rubles, 6,25%
18th place – deposits of 5 million to 10 million rubles, 6%
24th place – deposits of 30 million rubles or greater, 5,75%

Best Terms for Various Short-Term Deposits in Dollars:
5th place  – deposits of one million dollars or greater, 6%
7th place – deposits of 300,000 to one million dollars, 5,75%
9th place – deposits of 150,000 to 300,000 dollars, 5,5%
11th place – deposits from 100,000 dollars, 5,5%
13th place – deposits of 30,000 to 100,000 dollars, 5,25%
15th place – deposits of 300,000 to one million dollars, 5,25%
21st place – deposits of 10,000 to 30,000 dollars, 5%
24th place – deposits of 150,000 to 300,000 dollars, 5%
