OREANDA-NEWS. December 5, 2007. The first winter day brought a serious achievement for Zhdanivsky sugar plant in Vinnytsia oblast. First time in 20 years the plant collected over 200 thousand tons of beet for processing in the current season. For example, around 170 thousand tons of sugar beet were collected and 21.3 thousand tons of sugar produced by the plant last year, the company's press service reported. Though the season at the plant is still going on, it is already possible to expect good results.

Zhdanivsky sugar plant was acquired by ASTARTA in 2003, whereupon complex modernization of equipment was conducted and new technologies of production and management were implemented, allowing to obtain high quality of produced products. Since then the plant demonstrates good production figures year by year. The best confirmation to it is the victory of sugar produced by the plant in the National Contest of quality "The 100 Best Commodities of Ukraine 2007" and regional competition "The Best Trade Mark of Podillia 2007". For labor achievements plant's employees were repeatedly awarded with other rewards. This enterprise is the laureate of the All-Ukrainian action "Gold Fortune" 1998 and regional contest "Business-elite of Podillia" 2006 (in nomination "Revival").

According to the company press release, today, Zhdanovskiy sugar plant is a team of high-qualified specialists, top professionals who are continually searching for improvement of quality and production technology management processes. Considerable technical potential is concentrated at this plant, as well as production experience gained and saved.
