OREANDA-NEWS. December 03, 2007. Authoritative economic magazine The Banker (United Kingdom), a member of publishing group Financial Times, awarded JSC "BPS - Bank" with "Bank of the Year 2007" title in nomination "Bank of the Year in Belarus", reported the press-centre of BPS – Bank.

The award was presented to First Deputy General Director Vladimir Koleda at the Bank of the Year Awards Ceremony in London.

The Banker organizes Bank of the Year competition annually and awards winners in different nominations related to various spheres of banking, regions and countries. This award considered as one of the most prestigious one in banking circles and is a high mark of recognition of the results of winning bank’s activities. The major criteria for winning the award are bank’s strong financial results, evaluated in dynamics, developing and implementing of modern banking technologies, setting and achievement of strategic targets and goals.

This year winner in Russia is Sberbank, United Kingdom – Royal Bank of Scotland, Germany – Deutsche Bank, France – BNP Paribas, Italy – Unicredit, Netherlands – ING Bank, Poland – PKO Bank Polski, Ukraine – Raiffeisen Bank Aval.

The winning by JSC "BPS - Bank" "Bank of the Year in Belarus" award on the threshold of the Bank’s 85th anniversary, that will be celebrated in the year 2008, is the best confirmation of the Bank’s positions as one the leaders in the financial market of Belarus.
