OREANDA-NEWS. On December 04, 2007 Kazakhstan stock exchange (KASE) reminded that according to the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan", December 16 is the Independence day and is celebrated on December 16 and 17, reported the press-centre of KASE.

In accordance with the law, when there is a coincidence of a weekend day and holiday, day-off is the next working day after the holiday. Thus, this year December 18 will be a day-off.

According to the mentioned law, the first day of Kurban-ayt was announced the state holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2007, it will come on December 20.

Due to the mentioned above, on December 17, 18 and 20 of year 2007, the financial markets of Kazakhstan will be closed, and December 19 and 21 are working days in Kazakhstan.
