OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2007. The implementation of the Belarusian-Chinese project for modernising Gomel Cardiology Centre will start in January 2008, Gomel Oblast Governor Alexander Yakobson told, reported the Official website www.government.by.

The $3 million allocated by the Chinese side as gratuitous aid will be spent on building a modern surgery wing. Design documents for the building are being completed. The building is supposed to be erected within the next two years. The Governor noted, complicated open heart surgery is performed in the Gomel oblast.
