First Freight Company Plans to Acquire 70,000 Rail Cars by 2012
OREANDA-NEWS. On November 30, 2007 managing director of First Freight Company Salman Babayev announced that the First Freight Company planned to acquire more than 70,000 rail cars by 2012, reported the press-centre of Russian Railways.
Babayev made the announcement at the conference Russian Railways on the Transport Services Market.
At the end October 2007, around 200,000 units of rolling stock were transferred to the charter capital of the First Freight Company. This rolling stock was partly worn out and consisted of specialised rail cars and part of the universal fleet.
During 2008, the First Freight Company will form a network of branches and representative offices. The representative offices will be located at major rail car loading and unloading centres and also at railway networks in other countries.
