Raiffeisen Bank Aval Opens All-Ukraine Operation Center in Kherson
OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2007. The unique project at the Ukrainian banking market will result in almost one thousand new jobs for the city of Kherson. Successful international practices in arranging the operation of a call-center, a collection unit and a loan applications and payments processing center — these and other innovative developments will be concentrated in the all-Ukrainian operation center, solemnly opened by Raiffeisen Bank Aval on 29 November 2007 in the Kherson city. The new subdivision of the bank’s head-office, which will serve its business outlets throughout Ukraine, has started its operation in a building of 10,000 square meters. Highly concentrated business supporting functions (i.e., processing of customer calls, approval of lending decisions via thorough verification and scoring, relations with borrowers) will save time and allow the bank’s employees to pay more attention to bringing service quality to even higher levels in the "closest big bank".
"We are happy to have Kherson as our bank’s second "capital" in Ukraine," shares his impressions Volodymyr Lavrenchuk, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank Aval. "Nearly 1,000 jobs, which our bank is to create in the capital of the Tavriya region, is a clear evidence of the importance of the regional development and using of economic potential of the regions for Raiffeisen Bank Aval," comments the banker.
Innovative information technologies and improved processes will be introduced in each subdivision of the new operation center. The completion of building works is scheduled for mid 2008. However, at the moment, some part of the premises of the building has been already repaired, 100 working places technically equipped, communications and modern software installed. "The similar practice is common for many leading companies and banks in the world, which delegate business supporting functions to separate high-tech centers. This is a good example, how we use experience of some banks in the Raiffeisen Group," believes Rainer Sichert, member of the board of Raiffeisen Bank Aval. "The operation center in Kherson will become the first large-scale unit of such type in Ukraine," added the international expert.
