OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2007. A memorandum of intent on deep processing of hydrocarbon feedstock was signed today in Gazprom Headquarters by Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Board, Dmitriy Konov, President of SIBUR Holding, and Andrew Liveris, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Dow Chemical Company.

The three companies have agreed to study the possibility of creating a joint venture to process natural gas from the Valanginian horizons of fields in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and to study opportunities for cooperation in other areas. 

A working group will be appointed to carry out a preliminary assessment of the economics of a joint venture and to draft an agreement on further joint feasibility studies.
