OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2007. JSC "IDGC of the Center" service area companies increased productive power supply in the 10 months of 2007 and have exceeded the indices of the same period of the previous year by 1,502 bln kWh, reaching 45,765 bln kWh, the company's press service reported.

The power losses in the grids amounted to 4,486 bln kWH, while the volume of losses in 2007 have been reduced by 1,05% in comparison with the previous year. The installation of automated systems of power energy metering (ASPEM) and electric metering devices of an advanced accuracy class had a positive effect on power loss reduction, as well as an activities aimed at reducing power losses in auxiliaries. Power losses reduction was made possible by replacing overloaded equipment, optimizing power grid load by new construction. The general effect from the implemented activities amounted to 691,485 mln kWh, including 40,914 mln kWh from organizational arrangements, 13,616 mln kWh from technical, and 636,955 mln kWh from metering system improvements. In money terms, the effect exceeded 691 mln 485 ths rubles.
