Belarus Sets Up Over 98,000 Jobs in 2007

In 2007, as many as 153,100 people have been employed and over 98,000 new jobs were created in Belarus under the State Employment Programme, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Alexander Kosinets reported at a joint session of the two houses of the Belarusian parliament, reported the Official website www.government.by.
In January-September this year the situation in the employment market was stabilized in 27 small towns out of 29.
The Vice Premier noted that the unemployment rate in Belarus is 1% of the economically active population.
