OREANDA-NEWS. November 28, 2007. Gazprom Headquarters today hosted the first meeting of the central organ of the corporate labor safety work certification system for Gazprom subsidiary companies, chaired by Alexander Ananenkov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee.

Present at the meeting were Bogdan Budzulyak, Head of the Gas Transportation, Underground Storage and Utilization Department, heads and specialists of Gazprom core business units and VNIIGAZ and Gazobezopasnost subsidiaries.

In his opening speech Alexander Ananenkov emphasized that Gazprom as a socially responsible company was paying great attention to enhancing security, improving the labor conditions and preserving the health of its employees. Such an approach predetermines the crucial significance of challenges being met within the corporate labor safety related work certification system.

The participants of the meeting considered the major issues in relation to the certification of labor safety activities within Gazprom, as well as the proposals on the identification of assessment criteria for the testing laboratories engaged in evaluating hazardous factor parameters.

At the end of the meeting the respective structural units and subsidiaries were entrusted with further developing the corporate certification system.
